Being a caterpillar is a metaphor for me. I took it as a theme in my painting. My catepillar self-portraits reflect on the possibilities of the methamorphosis in the course of an artistic career. I think it is the secret of the future what kind of artist I will become, how famous I will be, what I will achieve. I hope that ’one day, I will be fowling over the flowery field of female art.’
