The draperies of venus 2008-2011

The Venus draperies work’s subject the textiles and cloths which surround the body of Venus. This subject contains the quilt of Venus and the Bride series.

The pieces of the series of: Quilt of Venus was made in 2008. I used reduced range of color in these paintings. I used horizontal layout for the white laid quilt. First I determined the color of the background, and then used this color and white on the quilt.

The pieces of the series of: Bride was made in 2011. This is the opposite of the Quilt of Venus series. I used for these pieces the vertical layout. The topic of the pieces of the series: Palóc type folk costumes and the self-designed and embroidered by my hand folk costume. The usage of the color was determined by the folk art.
